I spent a year long maternity leave teaching myself (with the help of trusty Google) how to use my camera and practicing non-stop. I figured it out...but it took SO MUCH LONGER THAN IT NEEDED TO!

Q: I don't have a DSLR (or maybe even know what one is)...is this for me?
A: This course is for anyone who wants to learn photography with ANY type of camera!! We will discuss topics that are more applicable to cameras that can change lenses (DSLR or mirrorless cameras), BUT anyone with a digital camera or even a good iPhone and some creativity could benefit from this membership! It may make you want a "fancy camera" in the future though!!

Q: Is this course for people who want to start a BUSINESS or for people who just love photographing?
A: BOTH! While it doesn't cover specific business topics (like running a business, marketing, etc), ALL of the topics covered are topics that photographers with a business would need to know. We cover topics all related to actually using your camera to take great pictures. I teach my entire shooting system in the Photo U that has allowed me to become a 6-figure photographer...so if you think you would want to learn that, this is for you!

A. Yes! Students purchase forever access to the content. You can log in and watch anytime you want! Q: What will I get/see each month?
A: Students will be a part of the course site where they will view all the content. Each module's content consists of a 30-60+ minute video (either with me photographing and talking to the camera about what I'm doing, photographing while I'm working with clients, or teaching in my office/from my computer depending on what the topic calls for), a supplemental PDF or worksheet to go along with the video, and access to all past video Q+A sessions with student questions answered directly by Jill.

Q: I have never used my camera before--is this membership for me or is it for my friend who has used her camera for years on Manual?
A: This course is for you BOTH! We will start super basic-- but it will very quickly turn into content that could improve any photographer wherever they are in their journey. As for the early content, for more proficient photographers, I never mind a review of the basics or seeing what settings and preferences another photographer uses-- and the beginning would function like that for you!

Q: I have taken a live workshop or Photography for Moms 101 with you. Is this still for me?
A: Yes, my friend! In fact, I created it just with you in mind! After seeing how HELPFUL it was for some of my students to take my workshop a second time a few years ago, it inspired me to create a way where everyone could learn this content --shooting in manual, shooting with great style and lighting and composition-- over and over again in each module! This isn't the sort of topic you learn once and master--it takes recurring guidance and practice! The workshop content is just 1 module's worth of content in this course!
