I admit, with the exception of my own son and my niece, I am not sure that I have ever been more excited about a baby than this one! The thing is, while I have a lot of friends with babies, I got to know them AS parents with kids already. I met Eric and Amanda long before, while they were dating, engaged, married, and now expecting. They are dear friends of mine and I am SO so excited for them to have a sweet baby girl in just a short month from now, giving me a first-time-mama friend, and my baby E a new friend…and future wife?? 😉
Eric and I work together, in their hometown, and still live near a lot of people who have known and watched them grow together- MANY of people are so excited about this baby! Eric and Amanda are essentially high school sweethearts (though they did not really begin dating until they went to college), and are wonderful together. It was special to capture them as a couple before they officially become three in body!
The other thing I have to mention is that while they are SO thrilled about becoming parents and prepared for this little girl in many ways for a long time, Amanda is not one of those (lucky/rare?) women who super ADORE pregnancy. She has been put through the ringer by this sweet baby of hers, and cracks me up each time I see her with her latest definitions of the “pregnancy glow”! But they met me, with full smiles and willing hearts, and we had a lovely session near sunset. And even if Amanda isn’t sure that pregnancy is giving her the glow people say, she is truly one of the most beautiful pregnant women I have ever seen! I am so grateful that they decided to do this session, and know their little one will cherish these images in the future. Enjoy Eric and Amanda, and their sweet baby girl belly. 🙂
