Sarah and Matthew: Promised | Springfield Fall Engagement Photography
One of the more exciting things about this season of photography for me is that I am starting to book weddings where I meet the couples for the first time at their engagement sessions, which adds a whole new level of excitement to those days! Last week, I shot 3 engagement sessions with 3 couples I met for the first time at their sessions, and it was SO much fun! I love getting to learn about them and their stories at that point, at the same time as I watch them interact and get comfortable posing. It adds an extra level of emotion to the whole event and I just love it.
I absolutely LOVED my time with Sarah and Matthew! After a little mishap FINDING them in them in the park (and fearing they were in running gear for their engagement session!), I knew we were going to have a great night immediately- they are both so warm and welcoming, and SO sweet together. Matt is a little quieter and calmer, and Sarah is a joyful, kind, and always laughing woman who’s smile is infectious!
We met at the park where these two got engaged (and as it happens, where my Michael and I got engaged), spent some time in the actual spot, and just enjoyed getting to know each other! It was 70 degrees…in November…busy at every turn at the park…but we felt like we were the only people there! It was just the most beautiful late fall evening with the most perfect light. I absolutely cannot WAIT for their October wedding next year! Meet Sarah and Matt:

This is the proposal location…I have been to that park a MILLION times and never seen it. You bet I will remember it now!
