PROJECT 4 : GIVING BACK Donation to St John's NICU

A couple of weeks ago, I got to get together with the 3 other beautiful ladies who made up Project 4 and do a special delivery to St Johns NICU.  In case you aren’t sure what the heck I am talking about with Project 4, it was when 3 other photographers and I got togther to use our photography talents to give back to our community in a way that was close to our hearts as mothers.  We held mom and me mini-sessions near Mother’s Day with all proceeds going to help the St Johns NICU.  They are in the middle of a long project to completely redo their NICU, and have a huge monetary goal to get there.

In case you want to read more about it all, here are the posts about it!

In the grand scheme of what the NICU needs to raise, this is just a very small puzzle piece…but when we really think about it, that 4 photographers got together and made this happen, we are so thrilled and honored.  $4,630.96 that wasn’t a part of their fund before this started.  When we met at the hospital to deliver the check, we were all a bit emotional, and already so looking forward to the next time we can help. I will be keeping my eye out for a website that discusses the NICU rebuild and will share it when it comes up- there are so many ways to partner and help and every little bit counts!

I also am so excited to share this little video that one of the photographers, Tara, put together of a few favorites from these sessions! It was such a beautiful way to see the full day all together- can’t WAIT for next time!

A final thank you to the other lovely photographers, Tara Long, Kim Nehrt, and Courtney Westlake, and to the 2 vendors that joined us, the Itty Bitty Fashion Truck and Custom Cup Coffee!!

You're in the right place!  As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business!  I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).

I'm so glad you are here!  Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business!  I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
