Last Friday, I shot a dream wedding at a dream venue with a dream couple.  I was a little nervous going in for 2 reasons: 1). It was a new venue- which is always a nice mix of exciting and exhilarating and 2). We hadn’t photographed this beautiful couple before!  I met Matt and Meghan for ice cream (my favorite!) last winter and we had SO many plans for a snowy engagement session last winter.  When those plans were foiled by schedules and a lack of good snows, we regrouped for a summer session at a state park…foiled again by the massive early summer rains!  Long story short, between our 3 complicated schedules we had no luck, which is something that has never happened for me before, and that left me nervous. I knew we totally clicked when we met, I knew we were ready and excited about the wedding, but I didn’t know how it all would go- and it is one of my favorites of the year!

First, I have to say a quick word about Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, IL. It was an absolutely stunning venue with my most ideal aesthetics…light, airy, but full of wood and stone and beams…it was absolutely breathtaking.  An outdoor wedding, all the events in one place, and a beautiful home on the property to get ready in with endless light…it was just a photographers dream.  And the owners, the lovely and fun Murray sisters, were absolutely amazing. I have never seen a more efficiently run venue- particularly the catering portion of the evening, which is all them. It was so impressive! Future brides–check this place out!

And on to Matt and Meghan…community oriented, fun-loving, outgoing, surrounded by huge family and many friends, and very gracious…they were just SO much fun to celebrate! You will see why in the pictures.  They had a fun and big bridal party full of people who adore them, and their parents are so proud of them.  It was just a beautiful day.  Enjoy this Pear Tree Estate wedding!
