A couple of weeks ago, I got to meet with the sweetest photographer, Ashley, for a one on one coaching session in my office!  She is just starting out and will really launch her business into full gear this spring, and reminded me so much of me. She is doing a million things at once, and thrives on that busy schedule.  Ashley is full of life and passion, and brings joy to the room she is in- and I feel like all of that is going to translate wonderfully into her photography business! I just know her clients will adore her! We started working through a marketing plan for growing her business as she moves forward, and talked a lot about the mechanics of shooting and growing her skills with her camera.  We got her going on a new editing program (Lightroom, which I love!) that’s going to seriously improve her workflow and time management when it comes to post production.  And then we got to head out for headshots and shot a family together to get some practice time in, where she can see me really interact with clients and watch how I approach posing (while getting some beautiful images for her portfolio herself).  It was SUCH a fun afternoon!

The hours that I spend coaching each month (2 sessions a month) are truly 6 of my favorite hours of work.  I love taking what I learned from all those years of teaching and putting it into helping propel these photographers forward- with goals and a plan in place!  It feels like the perfect marriage of 2 things I love so equally- even though the photography piece fits in my life so much better right now than the teaching music did.  I am booking into early April now for coaching sessions, and would love to chat with you if you are a photographer wondering what your next step is!
