Emily and Spencer continue a lovely string of high school sweethearts from Rochester that I have been able to photograph over the last year, and I admit, I absolutely LOVE it.  I don’t know why, but high school sweethearts always seem incredibly rare to me, so to have FIVE of my 2015 weddings centering on high school sweethearts is incredible!  There really is something a little different about having been with someone that long, and sort of like I mentioned about my college roommate, being with someone who has known you through those most pivotal years.  I really have changed as a person significantly (and oh so much for the better!) from the person I was in high school, almost all in the ways of maturity and losing the teenage drama cycle.  I just cannot imagine that anyone could have loved me in those years and continued to through the great process that happened after, so I find it so unbelievably beautiful that these couples have experienced and shared that together.

Emily and Spencer fell in love in high school, went to college to the same college ending with the same major, and now are preparing to spend the rest of their lives just as intertwined.  They are so comfortable around each other and familiar with each other from all of their time together that there is just such a settled feeling about them.  And, from a photography standpoint, they were a DREAM…willing to try anything (including a sunrise session, right Spencer ;-)?), fantastic at cozying up together, and just completely natural in front of the camera.

This blog post marks something extremely exciting and new I am starting for my 2015 weddings from now on, and that is a slideshow for the engagement sessions!  There was one from my lovely photographer for ours and I cannot even begin to count how many times I watched it- there is always something special about seeing your love story set to music!  SO, I am blogging a few less images in the main post–and including MANY MANY favorites in the slideshow!  I am so excited about this change!

Emily and Spencer, I LOVED my morning with you- it reminded me of how much I absolutely adore this “job”, and I am so grateful for that!  I hope you LOVE these and I cannot wait for your fall wedding!
