Bree: Class of 2015 | New Salem Senior Photographer
Being back at school after a long maternity leave has been both challenging and super rewarding. But the biggest blessing of returning is certainly getting to really connect with my students again. We are in musical season, meaning the days are long and time at home is minimal but this season at school is so fun for me because I LOVE directing shows. Bree is one of my singers, my actresses, my dancers- she does it all, and she is super talented at each area. Bree is also one of those girls who has had a lot of passions (namely, very serious dance commitments outside of school) that haven’t always allowed her to be super involved at school- but this year, she is all in, and it is AMAZING. I have absolutely adored watching her evolve into a confident and beautiful performer, and seemingly out of nowhere she is a major backbone in my alto section. Bree has ALWAYS had the voice- but just not the confidence. And now, she absolutely shines!
Bree is sassy, and straight forward, and honest. She is strong, talented, smart. She is very loyal and kind to her friends. I have always admired her bluntness in many ways— it is a quality I often lack in my tendency to people-please, but with Bree, she speaks her mind. And as I learned at our sunrise session a bit ago, she is a bit of a supermodel! She loves her curves, she will do anything asked of her, and she has a beautiful range of emotion in her face. I have sort of fallen in love with sunrise this season…there is such a stillness about the world at that time that sunset doesn’t always offer after a busy day. I shot in some locations I have dreamed of shooting in for a long time with Bree, and it was SO worth it!
Bree, I can’t wait to continue working with you the rest of the year, and to see what comes of your future at Eastern! I know it will be as bright and beautiful as this sunrise was!
