Magic of Childhood Studio Session
10 Minute Mini-Sessions for around $60
Can choose to upgrade to more digital files or full gallery
With a new theme each month, these Magic of Childhood minis are set on 1 Saturday or Sunday AM in the JGP Studio. Themes often match seasonal happenings (Valentines Day in February, Hot Cocoa+PJs in December, etc).
Each month's theme has different inclusions, but most of these are for just child per spot since they are so fast and economical.
JGP is known for Mini-Sessions! While super quick and easy, these sessions include all the must-have photos in a very small amount of time.
Varied pricing depending on the specific theme, typically around $50.

Studio Family Mini-Session
20 Minute fast and easy session
Gallery of 30+ images with a print release
JGP is known for Mini-Sessions! While super quick and easy, these sessions include all the must-have photos without pushing anyone too much on time. We highly recommend these for families with younger kids because they are so easy and quick! These sessions can be for family or kids only.
Studio Mini-sessions include a couple family poses, individual shots of the kids, kids together, a photo of just the parents, and some more candid shots as well. JGP offers just 1 of these per month on a preset date.
These specific studio mini-sessions include the full gallery of images (most minis only include 10 images) because they are held at the new studio!

Studio Newborn Session
55-60 minute session

Location: While I primarily shoot lifestyle, in home newborn sessions, I also have a lot of newborn studio experience and have a beautiful natural light studio that can be used for your newborn session if you think your house is less than ideal.
These sessions will involve photos of parents (and siblings if applicable!) with the newborn and also photos of you newborn only. While I do pose and wrap babies, I follow a baby-led-posing concept where the photos capture your baby more as they naturally are (reach out for any questions or examples of what this looks like!).
Preparation: Upon booking, I send my clients a customized PDF to help you prep for your session with lots of details on what to expect, how the session will go, and what to wear and put your baby in! I will also provide some blankets, wraps, headbands, etc that you can choose to use during the session. Ideally, your newborn session will will be scheduled 5-10 days after baby's birth!

Professional Headshot Mini-Session

*Weekday 20 minute headshot mini-sessions are $150 (weekends are +$50)
These quick and easy mini-sessions are just enough to get you started with a a few professional headshot options for work!
I use natural light and more casual settings (but we can achieve a standard "headshot" style if you need) for a natural and approachable headshot look. You will be able to chose your favorites from an edited gallery of 20+ photos for your download.
*Full 60-minute Headshot sessions are available as well. These can utilize space in the beautiful Broadgauge as well as the studio. are $400 on weekdays (+$50 on weekends) and include 40+ edited digital files.
Bring in a few props or marketing items that fit your brand and we will incorporate them into your photos if you want!

After easily booking online and choosing a date that works for you, you’ll receive a custom Session Planning Guide to help you plan every part of your session (especially outfits!). We are a resource for you through planning, and can help narrow down outfit choices, help you find a hair and makeup person if you want, and will share lots of helpful tips for the day of your session!
Pre-Session Prep
Feeling awkward in front of the camera? Don’t worry– helping people feel at ease is one of our specialties! Sessions fly by and mini-sessions are as short as 10-20 mins (easy for even the most devoted photo-complainers!), and will feel like an easy, planned-by-someone-else family fun event. Your favorite people will enjoy each other and play–coached by photographers who have years of experience helping families feel comfortable, confident, and happy in front of the camera.
Within two weeks, you will receive a bright, timeless, and true-to-color edited gallery of your photos that you can download, share, and print as you want! You can order prints from wherever you want, or order beautiful professional-quality prints and wall art from within your gallery. You can also add on an heirloom family album that can be passed down through generations...because your photos should be on display far beyond the 'gram!

- You like the idea of using someone else's space- nothing to clean up or prep
- You have younger kids with an earlier bedtime and don't want to wait for golden hour for your session
- You are booking a newborn session and don't have a space with big windows or good light (though I can help you ID this in your home!)

Studio vs Outdoors...which to choose?
An Outdoor session may be your jam if...
- Your family spends a lot of time playing outdoors- so it's your "natural" environment
- You love a large amount of bright color (the studio is pretty neutral to work with everyone's style!)

- You have an outdoor location your heart is set on

Sarah is JGP’s portrait photographer. Sarah has been a photographer for over 5 years, and has worked as an integral part of Jill’s business for each of those years. She has been entirely trained to photograph by Jill and shares an identical shooting and posing style. Sarah is a talented, warm, and calming presence on the JGP team and will capture beautiful memories of your family!
Sarah is a wife, a mom to an Elmo-obsessed toddler, and has been a big part of the JGP team for 6+ years as a virtual assistant, editor, and second shooter for weddings. She loves spending time at home with her family, listening to Audiobooks, playing board games, and diving into a new TV series on Netflix.

As owner of JGP, lead studio photographer, and educator, Jill’s main focus is on teaching moms how to photograph their kids and photographers how to run the business of their dreams. Jill also photographs weddings, newborns, and brands. Jill is the client communicator, blogger, and editor-in-chief for JGP, and photographs returning clients for seasonal mini-sessions.
Jill is wife to her favorite person and personal chef Michael, and mama to 3 amazing kids and an energetic Aussie. Jill loves outdoor time with her family, bike rides, statement earrings, and fruit pie!

Q: What is a session with Jill Gum Photography like?
A: We strive to create a highly interactive and yet calm environment where you can all be yourself and enjoy your time together, and we can capture the moments. We aim for it to feel like quality time together than constant never ending instructions, but also keep things very guided so you know what to do! It will feel more like a fun play date than a photo session.

Q: How do I know which photographer will photograph my session?
A: We will definitely make this clear during booking! While all emails go through Jill and studio sessions are shot mostly by Jill, Sarah is the main outdoor portrait photographer for JGP and will photograph all new clients and most regularly scheduled sessions. Jill will offer mini-sessions throughout the year for returning clients, and will determine the overall style, location, and editing for every session–so all clients will get that distinct, JGP-style gallery at each session! Q: When and how do I pay?
A: For full sessions, a $100 deposit (that is a part of your total) will be paid when you sign your contract to reserve your date, and the balance can be paid the week of the session. All payments can be made by check, paypal, credit card, or cash.
For Mini-sessions: Because the amount is less than full sessions, we automatically collect full payment up front when you reserve your time. If this is an issue, reach out and we can work out a 2 payment plan for these as well.

Q:Will our final images be edited, and how long will it take?
A: I take an approach to editing that corrects for perfect color and exposure. However, I am not a photographer that believes in editing out every blemish and line-- I believe in capturing you and your loved ones as you are, not as photoshop can pretend you are! Feel free to ask me for more examples of this. I reserve a 4 week window from your session to get your gallery to you, but usually get it to you much sooner!

Q: What printing/use rights do I get with my gallery?
A: You will get the full high-resolution download, and a release to print/share as you wish (though I do ask for credit when you share your photos online- you can just tag me!).
