I am more excited for this post than any I have ever posted.  This post, this day, represents something so huge for my business, and for me.  I have been working with my incredible designer, Louise from The Autumn Rabbit for a few months now, and have been planning this rebrand for about a year.

Before I continue, there are a couple of very important people to thank in this process. First and foremost, Louise, my designer, who was able to take a few scattered pin boards and thoughts and turn them into something incredible and so genuinely me. And who did endless endless revisions of every detail at my bidding…I am so grateful to you Louise!! Second, to my sweet friend and mentor Beth, who is a constant sounding board and help for me in this entire business.  Third, to another dear friend Morgan, also on a photography journey of her own, who has given countless opinions, thoughts, and unending support to this all!  And lastly, to my Michael, for giving so much of himself to this adventure of mine, and traveling along on it with me.  He has looked at every element of this project with a fine toothed comb and helped me through every step.  I am so grateful to be able to work alongside my best friend on all of this.

I am going to answer a few key questions about this rebranding process in a post tomorrow—I didn’t want this post to take too long and keep you away from the fun stuff- the new site!!!  I really hope you take a few minutes to truly explore it all.  There are so many pages that mean so much to me, that we spent so much time putting together to reflect Jill Gum Photography.

Photographers often are suggested to define themselves in a few words that we want our work, our brand, to reflect.  Words that people can see in their photographs.  It has taken me until the completion of this project to really find all of mine, and finally, I know what they are, and where I am going.

Genuine. Engaging. Joyful.

These words stretch far beyond my photography and my business, into my heart and my personality. Into what I, in work and play, as a teacher, photographer, wife, and mother, strive to be.

Genuine, engaging, and joyful.

I may be biased, but I ADORE this home page…I love the way the images are displayed, and pretty much everything else about it.

 

 

I LOVE all of the features on the Meet Jill page- there are a few little fun surprises in there to share more of my life with my readers and I adore it!

I really love the way the new “gratitude” page turned out and adore the display of some client love notes! I also love the sidebar Louise put together for me on these pages— those links on the lower left side go to full galleries from a recent wedding, engagement, and favorite session, and I think it is so nice for people to be able to see full galleries instead of JUST my favorites.

And who doesn’t love a little collage of some of their favorite things, including glitter, dance, Christmas, coke, and puppies…so many of the greatest things in life!

And the blog she has made for me (with the fancy hovering sides to go to the previous and next post and a categories bar)…I think it will be a beautiful way to continue to share my work and myself with people!  Enjoy these final few shots, and please go explore here and leave some comment love!
