There is no way around it, I am a pretty excitable person.  I get really thrilled about small changes in people, little things my kids say (well, I guess my 8 month old girlfriend isn’t saying anything yet!) can make me smile for the whole day, I could see myself doing a lot of careers, and I find joy in very small things others find insignificant (more on this later!).  So when my designer and I were working on a “My Favorite Things” page for my new website, it was a little challenging to narrow down to some important details that say a LOT about me!  So I thought I would spend a quick minute detailing some of the less self-explanatory pictures on that page (Michael, my lovely husband, and Piper, our Aussie, are both pretty self-explanatory I’m guessing!)!  Today, I’m diving into the less deep areas, like…

Material things!

1). SHOES. I just love them, in all ways, and all types.  Heels, boots, flats, sandals, I love them. I actually made a deal with my Michael this last fall that I would get rid of 10 pairs in exchange for 2 nicer pairs of boots (ya know, so I don’t feel the need for multiple new cheap pairs every season that fall apart within a year)— it was hard to choose 10, but let me tell you, I could have done that MANY times and still had a solid collection left. You just NEVER know when that gladiator heel is going to come back in style, or when you might find the perfect outfit for those teal peep-toe flats!!!

2). Jewelry…and before I start sounding super typical girl…MIXED METAL jewelry.  I love it all, silver, gold, copper, and especially rose gold right now, and I LOVE how they look together.  On any given day you will find my white gold wedding band/engagement ring, a rose gold watch, and usually a slew of other well pair accessories of mixed metals!  Now before you start questioning my fashion judgement, I DO follow the rules of big necklace small earrings— but show me a great piece of mixed metal jewelry and I am SOLD!

On to the food items…

1). Coca-cola products. Anything with “coke” in the title…cherry coke, vanilla coke, coke zero (like this more than diet!), regular coke….love them all, in an unhealthy sort of way—I’m working on cutting back!  Friends, I will actually chose RESTAURANTS to eat at based on whether they carry coke or pepsi, and TRUST ME, I know which without even being there!

2). ICE CREAM. It really is all desserts…but ice cream.  My first official job beyond babysitting was in an ice cream shop in town, I loved it from very young, and love it so much that we served it at our WEDDING instead of cake!  Your wedding should be about the things you love MOST…and ice cream is at the top of my list!
