During my first year in photography, I got to photograph a woman named Jennie and her beautiful family. I was so taken with Jennie in particular because she is just so full of life- fun, energetic, entertaining, sarcastic- I had a great time with her then, so I was really excited when she contacted me about gifting an extended family session to her mom last Christmas. We have been planning this session for months, and it was more than I even hoped!  We met at an abandoned mine that her brother now owns the property of, and it was AMAZING to photograph at! A little industrial, a little old and run down, but SO SO cool. There were so many neat little spaces, and the outdoor space was beautiful as well- it was the sort of location that really inspired me as a photographer and I really hope to get to photograph there again some day!  This beautiful family started with 4 kids that have all had kids themselves, and they are diverse and fun and so kind.  I just loved working with them all, and know that the mama/grandma of this group is (and should be) SO SO proud of this group of hers (and her sweet puppy you will see!)!  Meet the J Family:
