Clayton grew up in the community where I taught for 9 years.  I remember him as a very young and super adorable boy, singing at solo and ensemble competition, and he completely stole my heart then as a little sweet 5th grader.  I was teaching his lovely older sister and couldn’t WAIT for him to join my program…and then I hear he is moving to PETERSBURG, half an hour away, so that he can have access to their strong agricultural programs.  FINE! I was so sad to see him go, because I knew he could have done huge things in my program. But so excited for his opportunity! Over the next 6 or 7 years, I only saw him a very small handful of times at events of his sisters, or at activities that my nieces and nephews were involved in, and once for a mini-session. But I was THRILLED when his mom asked me if I would photograph his senior session, and loved spending time running around in the country with him, his mom, his step-mom, and a sweet brother of his (that reminds me VERY much of him at that age).

Clayton is down to earth, very kind and humble, easy to work with, and a VERY agreeable sort of person.  He is a country boy at heart, very smart and well spoken, and just the sort of person you want to spend time around!  I mourned the loss of him in my program more than ever when I photographed him- but he is clearly thriving and I am just so thrilled for him! Meet Clayton!
