Today’s will be a very simple post…because it’s Christmas Eve and I’m hoping everyone is WAY too busy spending time with loved ones, eating, and enjoying the holiday (and the 50+ degrees weather…what?! This is NOT ok with me!!!) to read long blog posts! But I wanted to share a really quick peek at some of our decorations!
You will notice I didn’t show a full shot of our tree. The funny thing is, this is the most beautiful tree we have ever had! It is evenly shaped…and HUGE!  And such a constant, shining reminder of how much my Michael loves be because he would prefer a 2-3 ft fake tree…and instead, has given me an 8+ ft real tree (like every other year we have been together!).  BUT! We are having a lights crisis! I am a gal who loves colored lights. Tacky or not, and I can admit they aren’t the best for photography, I just LOVE the room glow and warmth of colored Christmas lights on a tree. But we bought LED lights this year for energy and heat purposes…and I just don’t LOVE them! They are lacking in some of the colors our old set had, and they just aren’t my style. So we may have to check out a different set next year- but I do love that they never get hot, so we leave our tree on all day long worry free! Michael also put up BEAUTIFUL lights on our new 3 season room addition that I LOVE- it has been such a beautiful month! Here are some of our favorite spots! 🙂

This Angel was my maternal grandmother’s (who I never had the honor of meeting), and just came to my possession this year- I am so grateful for the constant reminder of the legacy she gave me!This little mixed metallic corner is my favorite…you know how I ADORE those mixed metals!!This on the right was our first ornament the first Christmas I was pregnant!On the left is the candy fairy basket, a tradition from my whole childhood where the candy fairy leaves a little treat in the basket of each kid each night.  This is our first year doing it for our kids, and it’s so much fun! And the right is the first ornament we got for our first baby. Our tree is full of ornaments about the babies now- and we LOVE it!And of course…LOTS of tractors for my farm boys!!We decorated the mantle totally different this year, and I love the simplicity!
