It is Sunday evening, and I am sitting on my couch (with some strange show about NASA’s mysteries on the TV that’s a little excessively dramatic- Michael loves these shows!) exhausted and exhilarated from my first JGP Beyond The Basics workshop that ended a few hours ago.
11 Women joined me this afternoon for 4 hours to learn about their cameras and their artistic vision. We focused on tools to take what they see and turn in into a forever memory, and I loved every minute! I was a little more nervous than I thought I would be (after all, teaching is not new to me- but this setup definitely was), but once things really got moving it was just fun. I love watching the lightbulb moments, seeing people master something they didn’t understand before, trouble shooting through questions together, and then getting to put it all into practice! Up until yesterday, I had planned for the practicing portion of the day to be outside- but it all changed once it was clear the rain was coming (and it did!). The whole day looked a bit different because of the weather, but I think it worked out really well and I am already dreaming up thoughts and plans for my next workshop! I’m just sharing a couple sneak peeks today- stay tuned for much more! 🙂
The full group (minus one who had to leave early- we missed you Bethany!):

You're in the right place! As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business! I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).
I'm so glad you are here! Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business! I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
