Can I be honest? I haven’t really taken any pictures of our basement remodel. Any before, any during (though I am quite sure I will take some after!).  I feel like a bit of a photographer failure on that front…but the truth is, the process has been so frustrating and such a mess that I just am not sure what I would even capture to show you…so this will be a slightly boring update on the picture front in terms of real progress (I will show you some behind the scenes iphone shots though)!  That being said, after months, I think I can finally say that we are on the up swing here!  The original project was to split one large bedroom and one large closet into a bedroom and an office (#JGPdreamoffice) that share a closet, and add a floor and new paint to a room that would purpose it as a playroom.   But a little water discovery turned it into a much larger project, including a complete bathroom overhaul.  BUT! 2 weeks ago, we stopped tearing things apart, and started putting them back together! And now, more than half the floor is in, a little of the trim is done, and we are getting to the fun part.  My office is going to have a few really fun touches (one of them is a barn door!), and now that we are on the putting back together, I am going to document a few of those final touches thoroughly!  In the mean time, here are a few little behind the scenes images from my phone of the first month or so.  Apparently I need to stop photographing down at my feet 😉

Then the bathroom floor (top middle picture above was us deciding!) went in…

I am so excited about the bathroom!  In general, the whole basement will go from a bit dark and not our style at all to bright and modern- we are so excited!  And finally, just a little glimpse of that dream office…amid the mess of the playroom, there is a glimpse! Can’t WAIT to share more (and start documenting better! :))!
