The fall is always really stressful for photographers, because as a sweet fellow photographer friend of mine and I joke, the leaves change and everyone goes nuts for photos to happen then!!! We joke because it happens every year! That being said- I do get it, because it is a beautiful time of year.  And as busy as it is, I love fall not only because of the weather change and the colors and the pumpkin everything and the family activities, but because it is typically the season where I meet many of my couples for the next year’s weddings!! This couple is actually my first 2018 wedding engagement session!! They will be living out of state next year so we went ahead and took care of their session now, and I am so glad we did.

Jenna and Jared grew up together.  They played tag on each other’s lawns, played hide and seek in each other’s living rooms, and cried “cooties” about each other as children.  They never knew, never thought, that there might be anything there, even when they were old enough to be looking.  They were just family friends.  Until a couple years ago, when age and maturity and life finally made them notice each other.  And since then, it was all history.  Jenna and Jared were together, and they were going to be together forever.  And they are beautiful together!  Jenna was a student of mine, in my first class- one of my first babies.  She was super involved in my program, and a student I got to know extremely well between teaching her and her brother a couple of years later. I adore her.  She is sweet as can be, has a goofy side, and just has this infectious laugh…and you will feel that when you see these pictures!  Jared is a little more serious (though clearly still has a goofy streak!), and a little more business…but he is all about Jenna.  I absolutely loved seeing this girl who I have known and adored for years with the love of her life.

We took these in one of the back yards where they played growing up. I am obsessed with Jenna’s ring! We caught just the final moments of sunset on the lake. Jenna and Jared, I adore you two and LOVED seeing you together! I hope you love these favorites, I cannot WAIT for your 2018 wedding!!
