SPRINGFIELD IL WINTER ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY Lauren + Zachary | Promised
Lauren, Zach, and I were supposed to meet before we finally got to for this session, and almost cancelled this day (and our final shot was this past Sunday, which was ALL ice and snow- so glad we didn’t wait). I was so excited to do their engagement session because when I booked their wedding, I met with Lauren’s mom because both Lauren and Zach were at school! I don’t meet with 90% of the brides I book now, so that makes engagement sessions so exciting because in addition to learning to photograph and interact together, I also get to learn about them! But because I had met Lauren’s sweet mama, I knew some background about these two that made me sure I was going to adore them- and I did! Initially, we weren’t even sure if we were going to get an engagement session in because these two are very busy traveling the world as a part of their their college Pharmacy program, which I just think is amazing! Zach has recently returned from time in Africa, and Lauren heads to England soon! After spending a summer in Italy during college, I know how AMAZING these experiences are and am just so thrilled fro them and what they will gain from their travels! Lauren and Zach are so sweet together, and were such troopers on a very cold morning! But I didn’t really notice the cold too much because I was just enjoying getting to know them! Meet Lauren and Zach:
Aren’t they beautiful?! They are extremely sweet and attentive of each other, and both quiet and kind souls. This is a favorite!
This is a location I almost never get to use in Springfield because 90% of the time, the light is HORRIBLE here and I always shoot for light over locations- but it was really fun to get to shoot there on a cloudy day!

These two will have a few more months apart during the countdown to their wedding, but I am so excited for what comes after that- they will get to live in the same HOUSE let alone the same COUNTRY!!
