You know how everyone from New York has this crazy obsession with it- they just LOVE their hometown? I feel that way a bit about Chicago. I didn’t grow up in the city- but I spent a lot of time in it and had so many fun experiences there. So I LOVE photographing there! Lauren contacted me in what might truly be the sweetest email I have ever received, and I just KNEW I had to be her photographer. Her and her fiance had been at a wedding I photographed last year, and she just lifted me up so much in that little email and has done it a million times since. That is who Lauren and Aaron are together- they encourage and uplift and spread kindness. And all 3 of those qualities are pretty important- and impressive- to me. I absolutely adored her from her first sentence and felt the same about Aaron after meeting them! Lauren lived and worked in downtown Chicago, Buckingham Fountain is where Aaron proposed to her, so it only made sense for us to shoot their engagement session there! Meet Lauren and Aaron!
Aren’t they ADORABLE? My Michael got to come with me on this session, and I LOVE these two shots of his (and so many more!)! Lauren! You’re so gorgeous girl- I would NEVER know you were freezing! Oh I just LOVE the city background!! We found a sweet little park in the middle of it all. We took a little break inside at a building I adore!
And on to my favorite of our stops! I told them that it is hard to be photographed no matter what, but EXTRA hard with literally hundreds of people around you walking, talking, and taking their own tourist photos- they were truly rockstars! As long as they were together…that was all that mattered. And I think that is a lot of their relationship too. Favorites! These doors. Can I have them at my house please!? 😉 We were SO glad that Chi-town was still celebrating Christmas so close to New Years! Had to take a moment to celebrate their favorite Chicago teams 🙂 Lauren and Aaron, we LOVED meeting you guys. You are just the sweetest together and to others- and we could not be MORE excited for your wedding next year! Sending hugs ALL the way to Texas, as long as you send a little of your warm weather back. 😉 Full gallery coming soon!
