Chatham Illinois Spring Pink and Vintage Wedding Photography Tait + Heidi | Married

Our last May wedding is in the books and this wedding season isΒ flying by. After a full week of rain forecasts, once again Saturday ended up being just a lovely day. There were aΒ million little pieces of this day that made it so beautiful, and I am excited to share just a few of them here. The most visible of them is that Heidi, my sweet bride, must be the truly most detail oriented person on the planet, and there wasΒ no stone left unturned in her planning and details for the day. Β I was in photographer heaven for this alone! Β Heidi and Tait are lovers of travel, education, and books (among so much else) and all of that is reflected in many ways throughout their day. Β The other thing that really struck me at this lovely wedding was how sincerely and honestly Heidi and Tait take the vows they said that day– how seriously they view marriage. Β I think every couple we photographΒ strongly believes in marriage; that is a part of what makes themΒ our couples.Β But there was a little something extra in these two and in their understanding and commitment of what they are entering into. Β Their families reflected it, the sermon spoken by the bride’s brother reflected it…it permeated every moment and decision of the day, and it just made it allΒ so special.Β  Heidi has an affinity for paper products and itΒ showed… they were all so gorgeous! These lovely succulents were her reception favors and they were so cute! Heidi and Tait’s adorable nieces were heavily involved in her day, and I loved it! Time for their first look–my favorite moments! Favorite! So grateful for fellow photographer and second photographer, Angie, for joining me at this wedding- love this (and many other!) shot of hers!
You know I love all of these pinks!! These flowers by Trendsetters Design, Inc. in ChathamΒ just took my breath away! Β These bouquets were absolutely STUNNING! Tait loves his cars…especially this Back to the Future style Delorean!Β  So many lovely details! Married! This reception at the Abraham Lincoln Museum decorated by Carolyn of CP EventsΒ absolutely took my breath away! SO many beautiful details everywhere in the most lovely reception space! So historic and stately! The museum was opened to be toured after their dinner and it was such aΒ fun alternative to a typical recepetion! It fit Heidi and Tait perfectly! Heidi and Tait, I amΒ so happy for you and so honored to have been the one to witness your beautiful day! Yet I know your marriage will be even more lovely than your wedding, just as it should be.
