Lots of pink, beautiful lively florals, 2 emotional sisters, a mother of the groom that previewed me a million years from now when my boy gets married, and a vineyard…just some of the pieces that made for the most lovely wedding day for John and Laura!

We were worried all week about rain, and we got a sunny, warm June day. It was really just lovely! I absolutely adore these two and their wedding day was such a beautiful reflection of them and their love.  You can just see it when you are with them…they absolutely adore each other, and they BOTH feel like they are the luckier one of the combo– and I think that is really important.  They got married at the beautiful Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, which was one of the first wineries Michael and I ever went to together (in our pre-parent days, winery visiting was high on our list of favorite activities! We will resume that some day!).  So when Laura and John first contacted me, I was so excited because not only do we love this winery, but we got married at a winery and I just knew they would be my favorite sort of locations to shoot at, and Hidden Lake did not disappoint! We have a couple more weddings at wineries this fall and just cannot wait!

Back to Laura and John and their day though…it was filled with beautiful moments and emotion of two people just so truly in love. I cannot wait for you to see it all– because in addition to those moments, there was such fun style and beauty involved in their day!  It was really a photographer’s dream and we were just so honored to be a part of it!

Loved this beautiful invitation suite! The winery has a beautiful home that has been converted into reception/getting ready space that functioned so well for their day! Such lovely and fun ladies that were so ON for Laura all day long!! This was one of the sweetest first looks we have photographed. There were quite a few tears… This winery is filled with willows, my very favorite tree…can’t you see why?! Laura, you are so gorgeous! These flowers by Ahner Florist absolutely took my breath away!!! They planted a tree together as their “unity” tradition– it was beautiful! Favorite on the right here! This dessert table was GORGEOUS!

I have to write about this because it was the first time we have seen it and it was SO fun- I was literally cracking up. Instead of a dollar dance, they did a selfie dance. They both had a phone on a selfie stick and the DJ asked everyone to come up to the dance floor (most did!) and just get in some form of picture with them– it was SO fun and just such an energetic way to get everyone on the dance floor! I absolutely loved it. Laura and John, we LOVED your day and are so so happy for you!!! We know that such an incredible marriage is going to follow such a beautiful day!
