After shooting their downtown Chicago engagement session earlier this year, I just knew their wedding was going to be beautiful, and it was so beyond!  Erin was a bridesmaid in a wedding I just adored from 2 years ago (and that bride was a bridesmaid in this wedding, and her and her hubby’s adorable daughter was the flower girl!), and I just LOVE those connections.  Erin and Mike thought briefly about having their wedding in Springfield, at Erin’s home, and immediately knew they needed to celebrate their day in the beautiful city they call home.  And it was perfect for them. Sophisticated, elegant, and so fun, this black tie wedding was definitely one I will remember!

Erin could not have made a more beautiful bride…she wore a custom designed wedding gown designed by Audrey Grant with a removable train that was absolutely flawless on her.  She has such an elegant beauty about her from her overall style to the way she carried herself on her wedding day…it is truly lovely to see.  And her Mike, who just adores her as visible in every moment…their wedding day brought out some emotion in him that touched every one of their loved ones in attendance.  It was just a beautiful day all around, and I am so excited to share it here!  Photographing in this beautiful city where I spent so much of my first 22 years meant a lot to me– it presents such fun challenges in trying to avoid too many people, and trying to show off the beautiful city while still finding the best light…I loved it, and I know you will too!

Classic. The Kimpton Allegro Hotel where they got ready fit in with the style of their day perfectly!  I loved this unconventional to me dress shot and the whole style! She is just flawless. I was completely in love with this bouquet!!! The ceremony and reception venue, 19 East in Chicago, completely blew me away.  And don’t even get me started on this donut wall… The cuteness of this moment cannot be described…there was full on applause when they made it down!!! They were total stars!!! So much excitement here! Mike and Erin, thank you so much for asking us to join you in your beautiful day! We loved it, and are thrilled for you both! Enjoy that honeymoon!!!
