Fall Central Illinois Engagement Photography Ericka + Daniel | Promised

There was a series of weeks this year when I was wondering if we were going to get any fall color at all!! We had such STRANGE fall weather, even for Illinois, throughout September and October with super un-seasonal warmth and I worried that once it got cold all the leaves would just drop and that would be all!  Photographers joke quite a lot that the leaves changing just isn’t that exciting, that it happens EVERY year and everyone goes nuts over it, but the truth is, I totally get it…I love it too, and LOVE photographing in it! So after we traveled to Wisconsin for a long weekend destination wedding (to MUCH fall color), we were thrilled to return to changing leaves here too!  This session happened right before that real change– but we were able to find some little bits of color here and there and I am so glad because it made it feel like fall even though it wasn’t looking like it yet!!

Ericka and Daniel met me on a beautiful evening at a park we all love, and I loved getting to know them and seeing them together!  They are playful and fun, and just good people.  They love animals, they are extremely kind and friendly, they are both involved with their families and love spending time outdoors.  They were just easy to be around, and fun to see together!  I cannot wait for their wedding next year to see them and all those they love in one place, celebrating them.  I know it will be a beautiful day!  Meet Ericka and Daniel!

I LOVE Ericka’s ring!! So much!! Oh THERE’S the fall!! 🙂 I just love how he makes her smile– and effortlessly!! This light!!

Full gallery coming soon, you two! Can’t wait for your big day!

You're in the right place!  As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business!  I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).

I'm so glad you are here!  Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business!  I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
