Oh my goodness, I have been loving these engagement sessions! Couple after couple, I am blown away by these lovely people I get to spend next year with!  I love them all, and I love being challenged by new locations. I have to say that I am not sure I have never felt more “at home” with the locations at a session in terms of it being space and style I just love while also being new to me and fun to figure out how to utilize them best.  But what helped big time? These two!  Erica was one of my sweet students forever ago at school, and I am so honored and thrilled that she asked me to photograph her wedding! It is such a sweet peek into her adult life, and into her relationship with Daniel, who is absolutely wonderful for her.

A farm boy through and through, we photographed mostly on Daniel’s family farm and it was honestly breathtaking. These two have built a life together surrounded by pets and family and country, and they are just lovely together.  Daniel calms and grounds Erica (which I know something about calming and grounding partners myself!), and Erica lights him up and brings such fun to their relationship.  They are easy to be around and talk to, fun to see interact, and absolutely beautiful to photograph.  We began at New Salem for some good fall color in case we didn’t find any later (didn’t end up being a problem!)!

Just minutes in here…Erica is such a natural model!!! I absolutely love her ring! Look at their puppies!!! I think every farm should have an old white barn! It was gorgeous! And this spot?! Absolutely love it! Give me all the glowy light please!!
I am not usually a silhouette kind of girl because I like people and places to look as they really look…but I just love this on the left!!! Favorite! Thanks for such a GREAT night, you two! So many more coming soon!
