I have mentioned it a bit here before, but I have been having a hard time dipping back into work, and am still very much on maternity leave.  However, this job of mine? Photography? It just doesn’t feel like work!  When I am behind my camera, it truly never does.  I was so glad that my first session post baby was a newborn session, a sweet baby boy, and the baby of one of my favorite and first wedding couples, Elise and Tyler!  I just adore these two, and always love seeing my brides and grooms turn into parents if that is what is next for them. And these two have done it so beautifully!  There is just something about lifestyle photography (this work where you are in the client’s home and it is much less formal and posed, and much more guiding clients into moments that aren’t that different from what happens at home anyways that you are just capturing) that has always and will always speak to me. I love posed baby shots, and am so thankful to have them of my baby. But THIS style, what I got to capture of Wyatt and his mama and dad….this is what totally steals my heart.

Wyatt was just a completely perfect little baby!  He was honestly one of the easiest I have ever photographed, and in addition to that, is just absolutely adorable. I cannot get over his hair or his awake alert eyes– but when it was time, he fell asleep perfectly for some good sleepy shots!  He fits so well in his parent’s arms and is so dearly loved already!  I left this session knowing that while only a few weeks older, I already did not have a newborn anymore, and so excited for this family and all they will experience together as Wyatt grows!  It is so fun experiencing this near the same time as them with my own little boy.  Elise and Tyler: hold on tight…it goes so fast!  Wyatt is precious, and you are in for just the greatest joys!
