BLUSH AND GOLD BOHEMIAN CHIC ARTISANS WEDDING Madison & Josiah | Married

Josiah’s grandmother stole the microphone at the reception from his dad during the dinner prayer.  She started carefully, and said she had written a poem for her grandson on his wedding day.  For her buddy, her basketball partner and fellow fan, her pride and joy.  She spoke of this beautiful couple that had found a help mate in each other; someone to not only bear witness to each other’s lives but to also grow and challenge each other.  She shared scripture in her rhyme scheme about becoming the right person for each other with God’s help.  It was beautiful, and reminded me so clearly of what it is all about.  As did the donut table!!! 😉

Because I haven’t been doing very many sessions this winter while on maternity leave, I found myself extra excited for starting our 2018 wedding season (even though I knew I would miss my kids a lot on Saturday, and I did!).  It certainly helped that I absolutely adore Madison and Josiah!  Their engagement session was definitely an all time favorite, and I couldn’t wait to spend the day with them.  Their maid of honor and best man are another #jillgumcouple, and I knew that Josiah had a big and close knit family so there were just so many things to look forward to.  In addition, Madison has impeccable taste so I knew everything was going to be beautiful and so fun to photograph and it absolutely was!  I hope you enjoy this gorgeous blush and burgundy boho wedding as much as I did!

This is a girl who LOVES her glittering shoes…a girl after my own heart! 😉  Madison was SO excited to show me all her details because she knew how much I would love them, and she was right!
Gotta have your bride coffee drink!! Madison’s two piece dress blew mea way! It was perfect for the girl who rocked a few of these outfits for her engagement session!! Favorite!! First look time…some of my favorite moments of the day!  We did all these portraits under their favorite tree on Josiah’s family farm, and I LOVE this spot because of how much they love it! Michael’s shot! Love it! The tree is pretty fabulous! LOVED these hoop bouquets! Madison made them all!
If I had a behind the scenes shot of this location, you would be shocked.  A small field by the side of a busy road (full of people honking at the couple as they drove by!) and it looks like the prettiest grove…it’s all about how you see and find spaces!!! These are just some of my favorite wedding shots…I love EVERYTHING we took here! Madison you are so beautiful! My fabulous assistant Sarah joined us as she is learning to take over Michael’s job when he can’t make it (something about having 3 littles at home makes us know he will likely have to sit out a few more than usual!) and this is one of her many beautiful shots– she has worked hard over the last couple years learning this side of my business as well and I can’t wait for her to join me more permanently! Such a beautiful group of people!

The talented maid of honor, and a #jillgumbride herself, Allie from Cab’n’Cakes bakery made this beautiful (and delicious) cake– she is joining my go-to-baker list for SURE (link to her FB page below– go show her some love!)! Loved these gold geometric details– Carolyn (the planner for this wedding!) hit this out of the park! Simple and stunning! When there are donuts and cute gold mirrored signs I just can’t help myself!  Madison and Josiah, thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful day– it was absolutely lovely and we are so thrilled for you as you begin this next stage!!  Congratulations!!

You're in the right place!  As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business!  I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).

I'm so glad you are here!  Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business!  I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
