I admit it, I’ve been waiting for this wedding day for a very long time.  I adore Emily and Matt and was SO excited to see Emily’s vision come to life…but I also adore their venue, and as a newer Central Illinois wedding venue that oozes modern farm style and beautiful history all at the same time, I was so so excited to photograph at Walnut Hall Estate in Carrollton, IL.  And not one moment of this day was anything different than I had hoped…it was a gorgeous beautifully planned early fall wedding!

One of MANY things I adored about this venue was that they allow the bridal party to stay the night before (including the parents too!), and also allowed Emily and Matt’s dogs to be on site staying with them.  The result? It almost felt like we were just at Emily and Matt’s gorgeous family estate!  Everyone was comfortable, had been in the same place all day (and before!), and their dogs were roaming around like they owned the place– it was truly perfect.  I LOVE wedding days all in one place because it shifts so much focus just on the couple and their celebrations and takes it off moving around and traveling– but the fact that they also got to stay on site the night before made it all so relaxed and easy!  And there was no end of gorgeous spaces for photos literally at every turn.  Emily and Matt booked this venue site unseen while it was being finished, and it paid off so brilliantly for their beautiful wedding day.  I can’t WAIT to share my many favorites!!

  LOVED these socks!! The same moment from 2 different views…I just love Emily’s mama watching her– they had no clue I was setting up the photo like this, but it’s one of my favorites of the day! Emily’s dad was just the sweetest…he wear’s his heart on his sleeve and adores his baby girl! Love these moments so so much! The sun hid at the PERFECT time allowing us photos in front of the beautiful redone barn, and I was SO thankful– I know these are the photos couples want when they choose this gorgeous venue!! Such beauties!! Confetti after they were announced husband and wife?! LOVED it! So many favorites! I adore this girl! And I’m on my super tip toes here!! Big congrats to the new Mr and Mrs!!  I adore you two and could not be more happy for you!!
