Even 130+ weddings in, there are new experiences with each couple at every wedding and it is one of my favorite parts about this work!  Jillian and Luke’s day was an absolute blast from start to end because of them and their people, and I won’t forget the fun and how it impacted me.  These two have a crew that is different from any I have photographed before, complete with what seemed to be most or all of a college football team literally rooting for them at every turn.  The camaraderie and support was so palpable and it honestly really blew me away.  It is clear that Jillian and Luke are VERY loved from every one of their people, and have been since they got together in high school.  They are kind, warm, and loving, and so are their people.  From the cheers of the crowd to the tears on family’s cheeks while walking down the aisle, it was all very touching.

I have to take a moment to talk about their chosen venue, The Rustic Venues in Girard, Il.  This newer venue is renovated and owned by a past bride and groom of mine and their family, and it is TRULY stunning.  This venue has thought of everything, including stunning getting ready space for both the bride and the groom, and get this…space for the full bridal party to stay there for the weekend!  I honestly haven’t seen anything quite like it.  There is a variety of spaces to choose from for rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception, pretty photo locations, and space for 12+ on each side to stay. I  was blown away by this venue too, and can’t recommend it enough! It was just an absolutely beautiful day.
