When you’ve got 18 full years tied up in knowing the bride, her family, and her history, it’s quite hard to know where to even begin.  Since she was fourteen, I have had the pleasure of knowing so many facets of Zoey’s life– first, as one of the most involved students in my music program (she did everything– every class, show, and way she could possibly be involved!), and then once she graduated, as a friend for many many years.  I have adored her for all of them, and could not be happier for her and Craig.  I’ve known Zoey through those formative teen years and seen her grow into a young adult, I’ve seen her navigate the high school landscape, I’ve seen her absolutely shine while doing things she loves, I’ve seen her put her whole heart and 150% effort into doing well.  I’ve seen her walk through harder stages with grace while keeping her chin up.  And that’s only the beginning.  I love her deeply, love her family deeply, have shed tears with them in hard times, and now celebrated one of their absolute highest moments.  Seeing Zoey beaming on her wedding day is not a site I will forget.

Along with Craig, Zoey got Liam, Craig’s sweet, imaginative, kind little boy , and she has put in the work, time, and love for this trio truly to have a strong family bond that they will grow on every day for the rest of their lives.  Liam was sweetly involved in the day and the ceremony, and truly was just beaming.  There was not a dry eye in the barn during the ceremony as we listened to their personal vows, sharing stories of times together and of what their love means to each other’s lives.

I don’t even know where to begin with the actual day- it was stunning from top to bottom, tip to tail.  Zoey’s sweet mama Sherri, whom I have known very closely for those 18 years as well, worked so so hard with Zo to create the perfect day and it was an absolute success.  Visually stunning, extremely meaningful, and just a complete vision!  In another full circle moment, the talented Jo Ireland (another Riverton parent and the mama to two of my other beloved past brides!) with Forevery Moments and More coordinated the day and planned the vision at the stunning Briar and Bramble (this was my first time there and I loved it!)– it was just perfect.  While you never know what outside is going to look like if you want fall, Zoey and Craig nailed that one too- it was absolutely gorgeous.

Zoey and Craig, I wish SO many things for you.  I wish you adventure and fun.  I wish you deep connection with each other.  I wish you joy and excitement with Liam.  I wish you shows and concerts and experiences, and I wish you quiet moments and evenings in and warmth by life’s coziest fireplace.  But above all, I wish you continue to treat each other with the deep kindness and respect that I have seen between you both while you have been together…you both so greatly deserve it and can give that to each other so well.  I know you love each other exactly as the other needs- and I wish you that warm and safe feeling for the rest of your lives!

I love SO many of these girls so deeply- multiple of my best friends, past brides, new favorites, and past students all in this group!  Love love love!
