I‘ll admit it, I had planned to just make a little facebook post with one collage picture of some of the moms I have gotten to work with and a little note on the evening of Mother’s Day. So after I got the kids in bed, I sat down at my computer and started to pull them…and I was completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of mothers that I photographed during the last year.  I could not stop going through each folder and grabbing the images I could find- I was so captivated by the beauty, the courage, and the strength of these moms.  By the bits and pieces of their stories that I get to know during my time with them.  By how fiercely they love their babies.  And by how much I learn from them while I get to know them.  There are SO many women in these images, and others in the last year and before, that I cannot even begin to express my appreciation for and admiration for.  I am so blessed and lucky to get to capture their relationships with those who make them a mama, and I don’t take it for granted for one moment.  This passion of mine and many others is SO important, and I am so grateful for this season of life where it is a part of my everyday.

Mamas- you are all INCREDIBLE women.  Thank you so much for being a part of my life, however big or small, and for the work you are doing with your children.  Whenever I get down, I think about what I see through my lens, and I have a little more hope for our future because I see so so much good.  I hope you feel loved and celebrated every single day by those in your life- you deserve it!
