Oh friends, nothing brings on the baby fever like newborn sessions! I have really focused on capturing my newborns this year super naturally and I am loving these sessions so much! This perfect new boy, Liam, came a few weeks early and is the most delightful Christmas surprise for his parents! I have known Anna and Craig for a few years through community theatre and have always adored them, but haven’t gotten to spend just a ton of time with them so I was so thrilled when they asked me to capture Liam’s first year (come back in 4, 8, and 12 months to see his sweet face growing up before your eyes!).

Here’s the thing about becoming a new parent.  For the most part, it is all a guessing game! You have no real clue what you are doing, and you have to make it up as you go along.  So sometimes, that can be a little hard for people, a big adjustment. I think there is definitely a huge transition for everyone.  But these two new parents? PROS!  I’m sure they don’t feel like it every moment of every day…but I saw them so very natural with their new son.  As if even though they had only known him for just over a week, he had actually been there all along.  He was already a part of such a strong little routine and dance these 3 have worked out (and his mom and dad are FABULOUS dancers each in their own right, so that makes sense!)! They talk to him about life like he was a 4 year old who might talk back, and Liam is so responsive to them.  I absolutely LOVED witnessing it all!  Meet this new family:

His little hands!  He was the smallest baby I have ever photographed at the time of their session- so so sweet!Smile! Liam has the best little boy old man face. Do you know what I mean when I say that?!
