What a FUN blog week! My first video blog (check it out here if you missed it!) and a few posts about my first photography workshop…I am so beyond excited for this experience, and thrileld to say that seats are over halfway gone already!!  In case you missed the last couple days, here is the scoop:

I am hosting a workshop in a few weeks that focuses on small changes you can make with your cameras and your subjects to make big effects in your photography! So many people buy a nice camera, but don’t ever learn how to really control it- and I want to help with that! I want you to get the images out of your camera that you see in your head, to help you preserve your memories better.  We will cover camera settings, but mainly, I am going to focus on how to look at your subjects in a different way so that your photography can grow immediately.

This workshop will include a few hours of learning followed by a session to practice our new techniques, during which I will spend time with each attendee to go over their pictures.  After we photograph, we will head in to take a quick peek at those images to discuss what we have learned and the changes that have been made, and where to go when the workshop is over to make sure you have the tools to continue imporving.

This workshop is for those who want to record their memories in a really meaningful way…for those who are just starting and aren’t sure where to begin, or those who have had a camera for a while but feel like they aren’t quite reaching the full potential of their equipment or vision…for those looking for a new frame of reference for their photography.

All you need is yourself, a dSLR camera, a lens, and a desire to learn.  Those with a digital camera only would definitely still benefit and are welcome (you just may not be able to see all of the growth due to limitations of digital cameras).
