Today, I am trying something that is truly terrifying….a video blog!  One of the things I love most about our Tuesday’s Together meetings (read more about those meetings here– they are a part of the amazing community Natalie Franke and Krista Jones have created through the Rising Tide Society), is learning new ideas from each other that make our businesses easier to run!  This month, I shared a bit about a recent change in my business (that I’m planning to share about soon!) , and how I use Lightroom, the photo editing software I use for all of my editing, to really help me with my workflow, and the other photographers at the meeting didn’t know about this amazing functionality…so I decided I would blog a new Ask Anything post about it! However- it is a topic that I think is difficult to describe without seeing- so I ventured into video!  It might be more embarrassing than even my JGP Behind The Scenes post from last week!)!!

The functionality of Lightroom I am teaching about is using smart previews! Basically, I use Lightroom so that I can edit on multiple computers, in different locations, at different times, without having to have the actual files on my computer. This allows me to store the files on my desktop, where there is more room for large raw files- but edit from my laptop on my couch, curled up next to Michael!  Or from the car when we are traveling. Or it allows Michael to touch up some images on his computer- without transferring and storing huge files! It is an amazing capability that has completely revolutionized my workflow and editing!
