Their friends had told them about each other. For months, maybe years.  They just had to meet- they would totally hit it off.  But he was busy and she was maybe seeing someone else, and a lot time passed.  And passed. And neither of them had found it.  Until without even meaning to, they did meet.  And the rest was history.

I have known Erica a long time now.  She is one of mine.  Mine that I taught. Just her senior year, my first year as a teacher.  She was one of my leaders for sure, and I remember telling her at senior night, as I was gushing about her, that I wasn’t sure she yet saw all of the potential in her yet.  But I did (and so many others as well). Watching her grow and mature into an amazing, successful, and my favorite, confident woman has been a favorite part of the last 8 years of mine! Because I feel like now, and maybe in part to this wonderful man in her life, Erica really sees how amazing of a person she is!  She has grown into a beautiful performer (which she always was, but she was shy!) and just an absolutely beautiful human being in general!!  After she graduated, Erica and another classmate of hers and I stayed quite close, turning teacher-student to friendship a bit.  She then became my puppy sitter (multiple times a week she drove out to my house to take care of her, and for extended trips when we were out of town), my baby sitter (one of the only 2 outside of family we ever really had for our first baby!), and now…my bride!!! I absolutely cannot wait to photograph her and Steven’s golf course wedding next spring!
Speaking of Steven…I have had many less interactions with him. But at the end of their session, I had to have a sappy moment because I enjoyed him so much, and take on my teacher role again to tell them how thrilled I was that they had found each other.  How happy I was for her that she was loved like that. Because you can see it in the way he talks to her and looks at her. And the way he holds her. Steven adores Erica. And it is so so beautiful and so deserved for them both!

Beyond adoring them together…this session was just amazing.  We were shooting places I have photographed before…but it all felt new.  They were wonderfully styled, Erica is a absolute dream to photograph (you too Steven ;-)!), and the stars just aligned.  I have a new favorite, and I am so excited to share it today! Love this Erica…These 2 are favorites!And this one…And this one…you get the point!Erica you are gorgeous!!When I asked them to dance, one of them made the remark that it was just like when they are in their kitchen…and my heart melted.
