Joy. It is the emotion above all others that draws me in.  There is just something about the freedom joy gives that has always stolen my heart. And it is the emotion in photography that I am most drawn to as well.  Which is why I loved Anna and Jeff the moment I met them.  There is just a joy in them that resonates from very deep within.  From the their identity being so firmly rooted in Christ, from their excitement around and about each other, from experiences in their past that have taught them how precious life is.  Anna lights up a room with her laughter, and it is frequent around her Jeff.  And he just looks at her constantly, clearly in awe of her and how she is his.  They are beautiful and light and fun and sweet together, and their beautiful fall engagement session (see it here!) and now their wedding wedding absolutely followed suit.

Anna and Jeff, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding. I absolutely adored seeing you interact with each other and your “Brady Bunch” families, and was moved by so many little pieces.  I loved your grandpa ring bearer, and how excited he was to be walking down that aisle right before you.  I loved your dad Anna, who was a better maid of honor than anyone I have ever seen (with your sister a close second), even though that wasn’t his task.  I loved the toast Jeff’s brother gave about Jeff giving 100% to every adventure, and how it always works for him because of his heart and dedication.  I know your marriage will be a reflection of each of those things.  The excitement you have for each other, the devotion of your loved ones, and your ability to dedicate your hearts to the other.

Everything about this wedding was just absolutely beautiful. The dress, the details, the light, the locations- it was all gorgeous. But it truly paled in comparison to Anna’s beauty as a bride.  This is a girl I just adore, and felt an instant friendship with the moment I met her- she just drew me in.  Wait until you see this all!

I must share a final story.  Their dancing was set to happen on the outside patio, and happened to occur as the sun was making it’s final set.  There was plans for bubbles on their way to the dance floor, but they ended up happening on the dance floor. And there was not a dry eye in the house (including mine!) as Anna swung in the arms of her new husband, followed by her daddy. They were literally surrounded by their loved ones, standing right at the edges of the floor, wishing them well and loving them into this next stage.  It really struck Michael and I as unusually beautiful for everyone to be right there instead of at tables, far away.  And very indicative of the whole day.Anna and Jeff, congratulations from the bottom of our hearts! We hope you are LOVING Hawaii and get a little time on the beach to relive your perfect day through these favorites of ours!
