When I started at RHS 9 years ago, I knew nobody.  I had no friends, and took a huge leap of faith- one that I took for reasons that were no longer applicable to my life, but I am so so grateful I did.  Ginny was my assigned mentor. She was an English teacher and past theatre director.  I loved her instantly at my interview, but I had no clue that she would become my co-director, my mentor, and an incredibly dear friend.  Ginny holds many of my favorite memories of the last decade of my life, was a huge part of my wedding, and continues to be so important to me.

So when she asked me to photograph her and her sweet husband Colin’s anniversary session, I was thrilled.  Absolutely elated- and what’s more- she wanted to do it at a winery (which I LOVE and holds some sentimental value to us as well because she hosted the only surprise party I have ever been to- a surprise Engagement party- wine themed- for Michael and I.  It is one of those mentioned favorite memories).  We met at the beautiful Danenberger Winery in New Berlin and warm or not, it was a beautiful afternoon!  I am sharing a lot of images of the winery as well because it was just beautiful and their love of this winery in particular, and it’s aesthetic, is a part of the story!

My favorite part about Colin is how he makes Ginny laugh.  There is so much joy and fun and adventure between these two and I love it.Happy Anniversary, you two! I love you both dearly and am so thankful for you in my life! I hope you love these favorites- full gallery coming soon!
