ALEX + JENNIFER : MARRIED | CHICAGO SUBURBS NAVY AND GRAY SUMMER WEDDING Veterans Acres Crystal Lake Chicago Wedding Photography
This past weekend, we got to photograph a wedding in the Chicago suburbs, near my hometown. That alone made it incredibly special and exciting for me- but in addition to that, we did portraits in a park I played at during my childhood (and among my favorite trees). And yet beyond- the day was full of love and excitement at the lives and families being joined together. And that is where the real joy comes from! Jennifer and Alex came to Springfield to do their engagement session in the winter, and I loved it, and meeting them (see their session here!). And I love their story (read all about it in their session!).
Their wedding day was beautiful and sunny and full of sunflowers, adding to the happy vibe. They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony in the church where Jennifer grew up, and I loved the Priest’s message. He spoke to them of being friends- best friends- in addition to spouses. He reminded them to always bring everything back to God in prayer as they travel through life’s ups and downs. And he gave them a bottle of red wine during their ceremony as a gift, to open one day when they needed the reminder of the vows they took that day- it was quite beautiful, really. They had an intimate group of family and close friends present, and it was truly such a special day. Jennifer and Alex, we adore you guys and are so excited to share these favorites!
