It seems fitting to me that this is the first session I am sharing on the new blog, because among this group, I have photographed some combination of them or their families in either a session or a wedding 10 times now- this being the 11th.  There is something about this session, these images, that fills my heart with such excitement.  The grandmother in these images posted one of her favorites on facebook with the following caption: “The results of 30 years together”.  There were 9 smiling faces, all because of them.  3 kids, 2 spouses of kids, and 2 babies (with another on the way). It is absolutely beautiful what happens in families, and I cannot wait to see what that looks like for us down the road. I dream of family dinners at a barn style table in our backyard when our kids are all grown up and having their own kids (very Parenthood style!), and seeing it spun forward in a family I adore is really fun.

These are just special people.  Kind people, people who laugh at themselves and just enjoy life.  They are beautiful people. And I am so honored to be the one to get to capture these memories. I just think are few things more important than making sure at some point, you get your family well documented.  I said it on my meet Jill page for how my babies have inspired my business: I want to document “…for generations to come. So that each person I photograph will know of and feel the love that came before them and surrounded them throughout their lives. So that each person knows they are never alone.”. And this family embodies that to me.
