This beautiful wedding marks our 6th in a row- and the last in this run for a couple of weeks! And what a way for that run to end! Shannon and Eric’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful and full of all the best elements of a wedding, if you ask me…beautiful colors and details, a little pageantry with from a huge and gorgeous Cathedral for the ceremony, to a cathedral length veil, to the string lights and lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the reception venue, and a lot of love. The one less than ideal thing about their wedding day? It rained…pretty much all day. But the truth? I don’t even think we really noticed it. Eric and Shannon just didn’t even let it effect them, they weren’t overly worried before hand or on their day. And this is one of the main things I have noticed about them, knowing them for the past year. They just don’t sweat the small stuff. Life is too important, and too special. Even rain on their wedding day? They knew that wasn’t the point, and that it didn’t really matter.
What matters is each other. And these two define that. Shannon was the picture of calm and stress free, even as she was getting laced into every single of the many laces on her corseted dress, and Eric much the same throughout the morning, joking around and hanging out with his guys. I just absolutely loved the calm and relaxed vibe of this day! And as a photographer, that rain created some fun challenges and beautiful bouncy light- Shannon’s choice of mint was the perfect color for a day like this because it just completely popped among the clouds! I loved it all. And…who gets a hair salon that matches the color of their wedding?! Envy is SERIOUSLY beautiful- Springfield ladies, you have to check it out!
I would like to have this gallery wall in my house!Loved Shannon’s old bottle of perfume as one of her details!Favorite!!
Shannon’s beautiful mama with her veil…love it!Married!!These two ran outside with me for a quick 5 minutes of portraits before family formals and the next round of rain- so thankful for this time (and for a beautiful church background!)!Loved that veil!Eventually we had to get out the umbrella…but I admit it, I think they carry a little romance in them…But then…their fur baby Archer joined us (you HAVE to remember him from their e-session– he is the cutest!)!And his formal wear!!! Beauties!!Shannon and Eric, thank you SO much for choosing us to capture your day! We are so happy for you guys and hope you are LOVING Jamaica!!
It was so great to work with Shannon & Eric’s amazing creative team!!
