They are high school sweethearts, and have been dating…forever.  But the story goes that he was interested in her for a long time, and a while before she caught up. You see, I never knew these two apart because I began working at their school after their freshmen year, and didn’t get to know Meghan until a bit later when she started doing my shows.  But one of my best friends taught them their freshmen year. And she distinctly remembers Meghan walking into the room one day, before they were together.  She remembers Meghan walking in, with Andrew at a desk near the back of the room, by her teacher desk, and Andrew saying out loud…to himself but out loud…that he was going to marry that girl some day.  Meghan walked to her desk (I’m sure closer to the front, knowing her as a student!), dropped her bag, flipped her hair behind her ear, smiling and chatting with a friends (because everyone loves her), and have a clue.  She didn’t know yet. But he did. And he was so right.

I had the pleasure of knowing Meghan pretty well and I was extremely lucky for that, because she was an enormously talented dancer and performer, and just an all around girl-next-door everybody loves her type of person. I knew OF Andrew, and I knew his siblings very well…but he was all jock and I didn’t ever get to teach him.  But both of them had the reputation for being as nice as could be- and they have just ALWAYS been great together. I love shooting engagement sessions of past students. It is like a beautiful and fun and unique episode of my own TV show, “Where Are They Now”…and it just fills me with so much joy. Because as their teacher, I want just so so much good for their lives.  And then to see it- the “it gets better”…is absolutely amazing.

Meghan and Andrew…it gets even better still.  I adore you both and am SO excited for your wedding next summer! I hope you love these favorites!

You two could NOT be more adorable together- you were simply the easiest to photograph! Favorite on the right- Meghan, this is SO your pose! I don’t even know what to say because I just love these all so much! I am not usually one for “props”…but coffee is a real part of their day to day (can I get an “Amen?”!), and I LOVE these!
