CENTRAL ILLINOIS BLUE SUNFLOWER COUNTRY FARM WEDDING Matt + Laura | Married

While the bulk of my stories and thoughts on this beautiful wedding day rest in the beautiful couple, their loved ones, and the incredible family legacy woven through this wedding day, I would be totally remiss not to mention that Laura and Matt’s beautiful wedding was the totally perfect start to our early fall weddings! August is always a lighter month for us, but we hit the ground running now and to start with this was just so fun.  The photographer in me was so excited by the huge attention to detail and decor of this couple.  There was not a spot in sight on Matt’s family farm that was not transformed into the exact style and feel of the day…sweet vintage touches, everything feeling very homey and personalized.  But so far beyond, the day celebrated a couple so relaxed, totally in love, and grounded in their excitement for what a wedding day actually means that it wouldn’t have mattered what a single part of it looked like, if it had rained all day, or if all of the decor would have blown away. The sentiment and feeling would have been the same, and that is just so special.

The thing I kept feeling over and over again was just their joy.  Joy for each other, at spending time with their loved ones, for life in general.  I have mentioned it before but as a photographer, a dollar dance can be tricky to catch well. But I love seeing how my couples interact with their loved ones during this time in their reception if they have one, and this was no different…it was just all joy.  Matt and Laura are so warm with everyone they interact with, and treat everyone as immediate family. It is beautiful to witness, and even better to be a part of.

Laura there is such a timeless beauty about you, even in your bohemian chic gown! I just think you were the most beautiful bride!!! First look on Matt’s grandparents porch…doesn’t get any sweeter than that! I just adored these girls!! So many incredible details! Matt and Laura, we loved celebrating your day with you and could not be more honored to have been a part of it!
