It’s not often that I get to photograph senior boys (I’m guessing they push their mamas a bit less for these sessions?!) or Chatham kids– so this was super fun for me!  I met Logan and his mom (and eventually dad and sister!) downtown a few weeks ago and loved my time with them!  Logan is such a polite and kind man, and indulged a million questions from me about his hobbies and future plans.  What I really loved the most though was watching these 4 interact together once they were all there– they clearly just enjoy each others company and to be honest, that isn’t always what happens with teenagers and their parents (and…I sound so old when I say that!).  They just seemed to really like each other and laugh in each others company and that was so fun for me to see– and very much what I hope for my own kids as they get older!  And…I love it that both Logan and his sister got their dad’s red hair!  Meet Logan!

You can just never go wrong with the Illinois State Capitol building as the backdrop! All the best smiles from Logan came when his family was behind my shoulder making him laugh!  Logan is an avid bass fisher so we had to spend some time on the water at dusk…it got cold and dark real fast but it was fun!
