Oh my goodness, where do I even begin on this whole experience with these two!? At the beginning, I think! Last year when I went to Arizona for the Amy and Jordan Workshop, there was an engaged couple there that were a team of photographers, and I had the joy of sitting by them for both days of the workshop. It was so fun because Michael and I are in many ways a husband and wife team in this business (and so are Amy and Jordan, the hosts) so I loved having that in common with them. We chatted quite a bit throughout the week…Stanley was my tech hookup on various things, and Marie and I talked some fashion (a subject she says she isn’t super familiar with!) before headshots — they were so sweet and I loved getting to meet them!  Well, about a month later at my last wedding of the season, I got a message from Marie asking if we would ever consider heading to Pennsylvania for their fall 2017 wedding! Of course!  I was honored and elated, and knew we were so interested in traveling for more of our weddings which has really happened in spades this year.  We loved our previous destination wedding experience in the Florida Keys (though that was a full destination wedding vs us just traveling to someone’s else’s hometown wedding!) and immediately settled details and got to planning!

We were amazed when they came all the way to Illinois this summer for their engagement session and truly loved our time with them.  Michael and I have said multiple times throughout the whole process that we wish we all lived closer, because I think we would be good real life friends!  Stanley and Marie are just good people…and as it turns out, all of their people are too. We loved our time with their friends and family in Pennsylvania.  We truly found them to be the warmest, kindest, and most welcoming bunch of people! I don’t know if it is because I am in my third trimester or what, but I have never had so many people ask sweetly about this little man I am carrying, or offer to help or show such surprise at the work I was doing for this beautiful couple that day.  I just adored their parents and siblings and friends, and had such fun conversations with so many of them.  It just all made sense to meet all these lovely, kind people…who love Stanley and Marie.  They are just beautiful together, and their excitement and thrill of getting married after being together…forever…was so very evident.  It truly was the joining of two families and circles that have been intertwined for a long time already, and it was beautiful in every way!  I can’t wait to share!!

Such beauties! Marie’s sweet sister told me about how this was their grandmother’s ring, and one that meant so much to Marie to have. Marie, you are gorgeous!!! Marie was so full of so much lovely emotion during this day and it moved me constantly!  This on the right is 100% Stanley and Marie and I LOVE it! I just love these colors! Favorite– and it’s Micahel’s shot!! I was totally obsessed with Marie’s hair! Midwesteners…there wasn’t just a dessert or cookie table, there was a cookie ROOM!  33 loved ones made cookies and other baked goods to contribute…it was just unbelievable! Got to play with ring shots at a reception for the first time…it was so fun! I just ADORE these two and Michael and I were SO thankful they brought us to PA for their beautiful wedding!!!  These were all the past clients of Stanley and Marie’s that were at their wedding…it touched me too much not to share! Stanley and Marie, we adore you two and just are so grateful to have been a part of your day and gotten to witness your love so closely! You two are BEAUTIFUL together and we know you will have such a lovely marriage! Enjoy Vermont!!!
