Central Illinois Class of 2018 Fall Senior Session Megan | Class of 2018

My first memories of this lovely girl are from 9 years ago, when she was the cutest and sweetest little munchkin in my second show I directed, The Wizard of Oz.  Getting to meet and work with so many of this year’s senior class so long ago was just so sweet for me, and is one of the reasons I would have loved to direct their senior year!  It is such a special group.  Megan didn’t end up performing on stage for shows during her high school career, not for my lack of trying to change her mind ;-).  But what has struck me so much about this beautiful girl since is that not only has she stayed super involved in the backstage capacity, she also has never strayed too far from it all.  I have roped her mother into staying involved after Megan’s older sister, Shelby, graduated from the program because her mother is a total force of nature and creativity, AND I just love being around her! And Megan came along with her mama Jo, helping with all sorts of random projects throughout the years!

Though I will always be sad she wasn’t on stage for me again because I get to spend so much more time with those kids, there are definitely a lot of things I have learned about Megan during her time in high school.  She is funny.  She doesn’t take life too seriously, and it results in a very easy going vibe from her (even though I know there are areas of her life, like her mama, that she likes a particular way!).  She is an incredible athlete, and charted quite a name for herself at Riverton for her athleticism.  She is a great student.  She is a loving sister and daughter– her, her mama, and her sister have a bond that is unlike most I have seen. But my favorite is that she is kind and she is a helper.  Even if the job isn’t her favorite, even if it is less than ideal circumstances for any reason, if you call on Megan, she is there.  I saw this time and time again as she worked back stage for me and appreciated it more than I ever told her, and I think it speaks so highly of her and of the person she is.  Megan…I am SO thrilled for you and your college decision for next year, and just cannot WAIT to see what life brings for you!  I think you are so special and am so glad to have gotten to know the pieces of you that I have!! I hope you love these favorites of mine (and Jo, thank you for sharing your sweet girls with me!)!!

You're in the right place!  As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business!  I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).

I'm so glad you are here!  Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business!  I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
