It is hard to even know where to begin on this gorgeous wedding day.  I could talk about how the weather was supposed to be pretty much disastrous, and then by the time we were ready it sprinkled for a few minutes and then out of nowhere the sun came out for the REST of the day.  I could talk about the sheer amount of loved ones (and people I love dearly!) present for this wedding day of two kids who grew up together and then one day fell in love, who’s families are super intertwined with each other and their community, and how special (and rare) that is to see.  I could talk about how much I adore this couple, both of whom I have known since they were just 14, many years ago and how lucky I was to get to watch them do their first bit of growing up into adults (and how many shared experiences we have together from their days in my classroom).  These two and their families are absolute gems and were such a big part of my time in education. And it would all be true and real.  But when I went through these photos, the only thing I could think of (after spending their whole wedding day thinking “How did we get here?! They were JUST little teenagers!!) was how much joy these two– and everyone around them–share together.  You will see it in an instant even if you don’t have any idea who a single person in this blog post is.  Katie and Blake are playful, goofy, and just plain happy together, and they make everyone around them happy just by being them.  They are so easy going and no frills- they just so clearly enjoy and love life together, and it’s really beautiful to see.  They wrap everyone else up in it, and their wedding and party was the absolute perfect example of it all.  Lots of people enjoying each other and enjoying life.

Katie and Blake, I’m getting a little teary writing this (shocking, I know!)…it makes me so happy to see you both so happy.  Together, in your careers, in your life.  It is a teacher’s dream that her kids do exactly what you two are doing– and extra fun to see two of her student’s doing that life together!  I hope you love these favorites– say hi to Mickey for us (we are coming for him in a few months!)!!

I’ve got to share a few extra of these sweet students of mine with their family members, who were all such a large part of my program in many ways as well! I love these of my friend Pam and her absolute mini-me. Had to share a couple of post ceremony favorites! So many cute littles! LOVE this haha! I cannot believe we got SUCH a beautiful sunset this night!   Models!! You two are so lovely 🙂 Favorite! Had to share this of both Sarah (my second shooter and assistant!) and me with the new Mr and Mrs because she went to school with them!  Sarah, I have had such a fun year with you alongside me! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Garcia!!!! I love you both!!
