Central Illinois Homestead Farm Wedding Dylan & Erica | Married

After meeting the lovely Erica and Dylan last fall for their engagement session (though I had met Erica before as the stylist at other weddings!), I have been looking forward to their wedding– the second to last of our 2018– all year.  The reason was multifold: First, they are just absolutely the nicest couple on the planet, and I knew that came from somewhere (more on that later!).  Second, Erica’s got fantastic style and I knew there would be just a lot of beautiful elements to their wedding.  And third, they are so easy and fun to photograph!  Their wedding day dawned chilly but beautiful, and the first few moments I spent with their parents, family members, and friends, it all became clear why they are SO nice; I’m not sure we have ever photographed a wedding where we have been more warmly welcomed in general by the attendees and family.  Erica and Dylan’s loved ones are unanimously kind, warm people– and that’s because Erica and Dylan are, and have attracted that sort of people into their lives (and also been raised by them!).  Each of their parents were sweetly and beautifully emotional about the day, and wonderful hosts.  And yet they were also so kind and careful with us to make sure we had everything we need, and had eaten, and grabbed a bite of one of the six (yes, SIX!) cakes.  They were all just so very kind– and it was such a perfect reflection of Erica and Dylan.  Erica and Dylan still look at each other like they have just realized they have fallen in love, and I truly believe they will for the rest of their lives.  They are beautiful and their love towards each other and their family and friends is just refreshing!  We LOVED their wedding day!!  Here are some (ok, a lot!) of our many favorites!

\ I’m totally obsessed with Erica’s shoes (and her subtle vintage style!)! There were so many sweet moments between Erica and her mom, dad, and soon to be mother-in-law! Beauties!! First look time!  These two didn’t have time for portraits before their ceremony but so desperately wanted some quiet moments together beforehand and it was SO worth it! The leaves were out of control gorgeous– and let’s talk about #squadgoals!!! Favorite! He’s wearing a ring for the first time!! Favorite! Erica, your beauty is absolutely TIMELESS! They just made this beautiful space look so perfect! Here are a couple of those 6 cakes!! Erica made this beautiful vinyl mirror tables chart herself!! Erica and Dylan, we are so thrilled for you two!! Thank you so much for the honor of being a part of your beautiful day!!

I'm Jill, a wedding and portrait photographer based out of Chicago and Central Illinois, and available world wide! I'm also a photography educator, wife to my favorite person on the planet, mama to 3 amazing kids and an energetic Aussie, and obsessed with statement jewelry and all desserts (especially fruit pies!).

As a past high school teacher, I have a major heart for education. After going full time in my business, I have built a business I love that gives me an almost 6 figure salary and allows me to be home part time with my kids.  I dream for you to run a business that enhances your life and lights you up, and I believe I can help you learn how to do it with a little hustle and a lot of heart!

You're in the right place!  As a past high school teacher, educating others is my life's work and a HUGE part of my business!  I have been teaching moms and hobbyists how to use their camera from first purchasing it all the way to coaching them into businesses of their own, and I'd love to help you as well, wherever you are (and whatever camera you have!).

I'm so glad you are here!  Teaching Photographers and other small business owners how to run more joyful, successful, and profitable businesses is one of my favorite parts of my business!  I specialize in working with photographers to make their goals a reality (or figure out what their goals should be in the first place!).
