Over and over again, the theme came up: Selflessness.  Mary and Brandon as individuals, as a a couple, as a part of their larger circle…they are selfless.  They put other people first, and really think about how they can help others and make someone else’s day better.  They add beauty and function to other people’s worlds.  They are just the best sort of people, and I knew it from the first moment I met them.  So when you multiply that by a large, friendly, joyful bridal party and wedding celebration that includes all their most loved, it just becomes a beautiful day!  Mary is one of 5, and when her sister toasted (from a head table filled with family, which I LOVED) and talked about their 9 year age gap and how close they were regardless, my heart ached for a sister more than usual (which is saying something!)!  Brandon’s brother spoke just as kindly about him– it was just the sort of day where every single person gushed about the couple and every single details pointed back to the two of them and their abundant love for each other and those around them.

Mary and Brandon’s wedding was our last of the year, and it was such a great one to end on.  It was a beautiful November day and so much style weaved into every single detail.  Mary and Brandon used the fabulous Julia of Julia Robert Design as their planner, and while I have known and adored her for years, this was the first wedding I got to work with her on, and she is amazing!  She decorated an enormous and beautiful building (the Illinois State Fair Expo Building) with such warmth and beauty and style and I just completely loved it and can’t wait for you to see it!

Ohh I loved Mary’s dress from Gowns in Springfield SO much!! I’m telling you, this day was what balloon arch dreams are made of!! First look with dad! Squad goals, amiright?? Favorite!! Just look at this gorgeous space!!!
It was the dessert setup of my dreams, I’ll tell you that!! Mary and Brandon, I absolutely ADORE you and am so grateful to have been a part of your gorgeous day!   Thank you so much for the honor!!!
