I heard it over and over again on their wedding day…their story, their love, was a fairytale. High school sweethearts who seemed to know instantly and stay together through the years, these two represent what everyone hopes to find in their lives. #HappilyEverLeMaster. The truth is, I’m sure like everyone they have had their ups and downs. But what I have seen out of these two the last 6 months…and the last couple years I have known them…definitely tells me they share a magical kind of love. Through everything planning a wedding in 2020 has thrown at them, they had their eyes on the prize: getting to start their married life together. These two completely reworked their wedding not one but two full times, ending at a small family wedding in the yard Nic grew up in. And it was perfect. I honestly looked at Michael a couple minutes before the ceremony began and told him it was, to me, the absolute ideal wedding. The weather was beautiful, the setting idyllic, and these two (plus their parents and amazing planner Wendy from DK Boutique) truly turned it all into an early fall masterpiece. But it was so much more than that. Kelsy and Nic are just two of the sweetest, easy going people you will meet, and I don’t think either of them stoped smiling all day. It truly was their best day, and I know they were just so happy their day was finally here, all those years after dreaming about it under the very sky they said “I Do” beneath. We were truly honored to get to capture it.
I LOVE this salon (brides…it is GORGEOUS for getting ready!!) and I was surprised and delighted by this past student of mine who did Kelsy’s hair– it was gorgeous wedding hair! Melissa, I’m so proud of you (all these years later!)! First look…one of my favorite times of day! Nic had the sweetest response (after realizing he could take his sunglasses off and open his eyes)! I love every photo more than the next!! Kelsy, you are so stunning!! First looks with 2 very important dads in Kelsy’s life! I am in love with the colors Kelsy and Nic chose!
This car took them to prom in high school, and appeared on their wedding day. I loved it so much! Kelsy and Nic, I just adore you two and loved your day so much! I hope you love these many many favorites and they help you relive every moment!
