After knowing this mama for so long (like…13 years long), I knew how much I would love to see her become a mama.  She was first my student, and then my teacher’s aide, and then the star in the musicals I directed, and then after graduation a babysitter and family friend, and then became a Jill Gum Bride, and after that (and also five years ago…Five, Sarah!!), she began working for Jill Gum Photography and is such a vital part of my business!  Our lives are hugely linked together at this point and I am confident they will remain that way.  I thought the height of my excitement for her would be watching her meet and fall in love with Jacob, and then marry him.  And I loved that part!

But I don’t love any part so much as this.

And based on everything happening this year, I have only gotten to see a little glimpse of this mama part…but let me tell you, it is beautiful.  Sarah and Jacob revel in this little previous girl so much, and care for her so well.  And little baby B is so worthy of their adoration!  She is an absolute doll, and I have loved my tiny peek into parenthood for this couple I adore so much.  I am excited for life to get back to normal at some point so I can view a little more of it and get to hold this sweet baby one day!!!

In the mean time though, these photos brought me so much joy! I loved getting to watch them all interact together, and little B just cracked me up the whole time!  It is a little challenging to get a less than 6 month old to focus on the camera with a mask on from quite a ways away- but we did our best and I just love these so much!!
