Recently, I shared that JGP is majorly expanding it’s portrait sessions offerings this year.  This has been an exciting and welcome change for my business this year because it means that I can continue to serve and stay in touch with my past clients and wedding couples in a way that I haven’t been able to offer before!  If you didn’t catch the announcement of these changes and how it’s all working, you can check it all out by clicking HERE!

One of the session types that JGP hasn’t been able to offer in years and am offering now is Extended Family Sessions!  I have been shooting a few for returning clients as double-booked minis, but we haven’t done full extended family sessions in years schedule wise.  These sessions typically include multiple families within a larger family set up…grandma and grandpa, their kids, and their grandkids…multi-generational set ups whee families can get updated photos as adults with their siblings, nieces, nephews, all the “kids” (the cousins), and grandparents.  It is truly so special.  The other best part? For our Extended Family Sessions, there are full group photos of everyone, broken apart groupings that you want (like grandparents and grandkids, grandparents with their kids, etc)…and each individual family grouping!  So booking an extended family session can give you your individual family photos for the year as well!

Friends, and I say this gently because I am speaking to myself and my family as well…

If you are in my age bracket, and your family can be all together at some point… do not sleep on this type of session.

While I don’t even want to say it, I recognize after health issues that both Michael’s and my parents have had over the last handful of years that we are entering the years where things will get harder and harder for our parents with age.  And I want to have these types of sessions for each of our families…before we can’t.

If you are lucky enough for your family to all live in one place– don’t wait!  Get it scheduled!  We sometimes get inquiries for sessions like this just at holidays for families that do not live in one place (Thanksgiving and Christmas) when we often do not have availability for sessions…so if your family isn’t local– maybe you can all get together in the summer sometime and schedule one!

Because this is an added offering for JGP after a couple years of not having the capacity to book them, we are also booking at a really great price.  These photos are truly priceless for your family, and so worth it!  I get a lot of families that split the cost among the different smaller family groupings, or as a gift to grandma and grandpa.  When split up even among just 2 smaller families, these are by far the most economical session offering we have!
